Getting to Richter's Maplehouse is worth the trip!

West Virginia is one of the most scenic and beautiful places in the nation, and Richter's Maplehouse is located right in the middle of the most spectacular natural area in the state. Surrounded by state parks, national wilderness areas, and countless outdoor recreational opportunities and facilities, Richter's would be a wonderful stop in a travel itinerary that would take you from old-fashioned maple syrup processing to classic Appalachian hardwood forests, with camping, hiking, canoeing, and nature photography sites galore.

From Buckhannon
Follow Route 20 South 9 miles to WV Wildlife Center. Turn left on Alexander Road (No. 11), proceed 23 miles to Helvetia. Turn right on Pickens Road (No. 45), proceed 4.3 miles - bear left on Turkeybone Road (No. 45), proceed 1 mile turn left at Richter's sign, proceed 3 miles to Richter's Maplehouse on left.

From Elkins
Follow Route 219/250 South 16 miles to Adolph Road (No.46), proceed 6 miles to Adolph. Turn right and cross the bridge, proceed 14 miles to Helvetia. Turn left on Pickens Road (No. 45), proceed 4.3 miles - bear left on Turkeybone Road (No. 45), proceed 1 mile turn left at Richter's sign, proceed 3 miles to Richter's Maplehouse on left.

From Valley Head
Follow Route 15 West to Monterville, turn right on Pickens Road (No. 45), proceed 11 miles, turn right at Richter's sign, proceed 3 miles to Richter's Maplehouse on left.

From Webster Springs
Follow Route 20 North 20 miles to Hacker Valley, turn right on Pickens Road (No. 47), proceed 12 miles to Pickens. Cross bridge at Pickens, turn left onto hard road, turn right at Been's Store - proceed 1/2 mile and go straight on Turkeybone Road (No. 45), proceed 1 mile, turn left at Richter's sign, proceed 3 miles to Richter's Maplehouse on left.
